Book Design
Through an exploration of form created by architects and sculptors influenced by the tenets of emergence, this book series uncovers the potential for artistic creativity in forging structures that borrow from microscopy.
Given that this essay focuses on the co-mingling of design and science, the book layout makes use of a visual language that blends the two concepts. Graphic moves, such as using a techie OCR typeface for pull quotes, live alongside constructivist design decisions including rules and typography set at right angles. Combined, the overall visual language creates a clean, pulled-together aesthetic.
